Creamy Bacon & Pea Pasta

Ingredients

  • 6-8 slices bacon cut into thin strips 

  • 1 onion fine diced 

  • 2 cloves garlic sliced 

  • 4 tbs Crème fraîche

  • 400g pasta 

  • 300g frozen peas. Defrosted

Method

  1. Start by cooking the pasta according to packet instruction, adding the peas for the last 2 minutes

  2. Meanwhile heat 1 tbs olive oil in a large frying pan, fry the bacon and onion for a few minutes until golden and the bacon crispy

  3. Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes

  4. Add a few big spoon fulls of the pasta cooking water to the pan, give it a good stir then turn down the heat

  5. Add the Crème fraiche and parsley

  6. Toss together, serve with a squeeze of lemon and twist of black pepper
